So my roommate Stacie and I are going on a 6-wk buddy system to get fit. We both have warm weather things to do the weekend of 12/12. We’re going to go to the gym at 6am before work (started today!) and going together will really make sure we do it I think. This morning I did the eliptical for 32 min (about 270 cal) and ran fast on the treadmill for about 13 min (170cal, 400 total in 45min). I’m also giving up fries and she’s giving up pizza during this time. Giving up fries really helped last time because I end up ordering something like a salad instead of a sandwich or burger.
For bfast I made eggwhites w/ bacos, feta, salsa, and two pieces of weight watchers wheat toast (stole this pic from last time). This bfast is very tasty, its spicy and smoky. 200 cal.

For lunch at about 1 I got a small salad from Bistro downstairs. You get three toppings for 3.50 its so money for midtown. I got black olives (50 for 10), feta (45), and red onion (10) over spinach (10). For dressing I got low fat ceaser on the side and just dipped my fork in a few times. (No pic, sammit). About 120cals… I saved a bunch of the feta and olives becuase it was a serious overload. But now that I realize how few calories that salad was, combined w/ the fact that its 3:15 and I’m hungy again, I’m going to have about 5 more olives and 1 more serving of feta (about 100 more cal, total about 420 on the day).

Leeeeeean Pocket (turkey, broccoli, and cheese). Still at work and it’s only 5:30 but I’m hungry for dinner. 5pts, 20 total. No more!!

I bypassed the free pizza hut pizza in the hallway right next to me and went the healthier route of sushi from this place called teriyaki boy. It’s SO cheap, especially for midtown, and it’s actually really good. I got a salmon roll and edamame. (Pts: roll 3, edamame 1; total =

I had my real dentist appointment this morning and on the way back I was really craving vegetables (weirdo). I stopped at the place I got the salmon et al from last week and made a side salad. It had spinach, egg whites, avocado, tomatoes, peppers, asparagus and cucumbers (balsamic & evoo on top). I also got a couple raspberries and blueberries for a snack later. All of that was only $3.99 by the way – that place rocks. (Pts: avocado 2, oil 2)

It’s 4:15 and I’m amazed I havent been hungry again yet this afternoon. I really think I just eat when I’m bored. This day flew by and I have hardly thought about food. Something to think about. Anyways, I just made a snack of a Whole Wheat mini bagel with 1 tbsp crunch pb on each half. Total, we’re talking 300cal/5g fiber/17g fat (the pb was 16g). 7pts total, I’m at about 15pts and 750cal for the day. I need to eat some veggies later but I dont have any.

I was able to wait until about 1pm, which was great, and then I heated up a Whole Grain Turkey, Broccoli, and Cheese Lean Pocket that I keep in the fridge at work. 250cal/4g fiber/7g fat (5pts). I’ve had 450cal so far today.

Its about 2 and Kopech and I took to the tunnels for lunch. We were in a smoothie mood from this awesome place called Booster Juice. I got one called Very Berry which has cranberries, blueberries, raspberries, strawberries, and strawberry sorbet. The original sized one is 360cal, 4.5g protein, 11g fiber, and 2g fat. Yummy. I’ve drank about 2/3 and I’m pretty full.

I had a dr appt this morning (no ear infection!) so on the way back it was about 10:30 which in NYC is the weird middle area btwn bfast and lunch at all the little places in midtown. They had stopped serving eggs and were just starting to put out their hot bar so I got some really, really random shizzz like: cantaloupe, honey dew melon, salmon, broccoli, mushrooms, peppers, brussel sprouts, avocado, tomatoes… that might be it. It was just a tiny bit of each, and maybe like 2.5oz of salmon. Hereeee’s a pic!
