sick city – d to the arman

this morning i got up and was so dizzy. i had wanted to walk to work but i nixed that idea. i subwayed it over, and was therefore early, and made an Amy’s breakfast burrito.  I love that shit.  I didnt look up how many pts yet, hold… 4.5.  for lunch i put a tbsp crunch pb on a rice cake (3/7.5) and got a small smoothy from cafe duke (the duke) across the st.  it was like 3 strawberries, some blueberries, and maybe half a cup of cranberry juice… we’ll call it 4pts/11.5.  now its 3:40 and im starving.  since im on the serious DL for at least 14 days i wont be able to work out for a bit so i gotta eat healthy.  hmmm… more to follow.

Look who’s back in the mother fing houssse-Marty

Wow, long time no write. The last two weeks at work have been so ridiculou that I had no time at all to post. But I am back.

Went to a wedding this weekend in Portsmouth NH…which was so fun. I actually ate pretty well. Before we left I made some banana bread. I froze one and me and dids have been eating the other one slowly. This morning for bfast I had two little slices toasted with butter. Num. My mom has packed all of her cookbooks for the big move so I couldnt use her recipe…sammit…I used my girl Martha Stewart’s and modified it to be more like my mom’s.

Then I had a sweet plum that I got at Whole Foods last night along with 9 million other pieces of fruit. Hopefully I can eat all of it before it goes bad.

For lunch I went to Game On with my clients and got a caesar salad with grilled chicken. I only used a tablespoon of the dressing, which I had them put on the side,  but I had some the crutons because they are made of rye bread.

Now I am super stuffed and gearing up for going on a long run tonight with PD. Hopefully my head will feel more clear by the end of the day so that I dont fall again on my run.

I think we are grilling outside. I really want to buy a pineapple and grill that. It would be the hotness…literally.

sunday – d

this morning i made the ends of a loaf of bread, toasted, one half with lemon hummus and one half a tsp of spreadable butter and a tsp of parm cheese.  blah.  it was about 10:30. (1ish)

went to farmer’s market around 12, upon molly’s advice, and bought many, many things: asparagus, broccoli, zucchini, cucumbers, red onions, red and white potatoes, and tomatoes. 

came home and steamed some asparagus and zucchini, then sauteed them in about 2 tbsp olive oil along with a small, white potato that i microwaved. very tasty and extremely fresh, especially combined with the olive oil.  this was probably at about 1pm. (6/7)

for later, i’m defrosting two boneless chicken tenders i bought in bulk weeks ago on sale and froze.  i’m not sure yet what to eat them with, possibly whole wheat penne and more fresh veggies. 

recently i’ve been making a tasty chicken dish with potatoes and onions sauteed and carmelized in an olive oil mustard sauce.  given the potato just now i wont have this tonight but its really good:  while chicken is defrosting, marinate it in spicy mustard and balsamic vinegar; forman onions until marked, sautee in olive oil with partially microwaved potato until crispy, adding mustard halfway through; cut chicken into cubes and dredge in egg whites then a tiny bit of flour mixed with black pepper; oushing potatoes and onions to the side, add a little more olive to center and cook chicken pieces, about 4 min/side; gather pan scrapings with a tablespoon of milk and mix chicken with potatoes and onions

from 3-4 i ate an apple from the farmers market (1/8). i forgot it was on my desk. im getting hungry, its 4:47. just put a marinade on the chicken including lemon juice, soy sauce, lemon & dill seasoning, and red pepper flakes. might make a little stir fry with the broccoli, zucchini, and onions.

alright, 4:57 4 cookies with a small glass of ff milk (5ish/14)

made it until 6:30 and went on my stir-fry adventure. i put raw onion rings on the forman until marked then sauteed them over medium low heat in a tbsp of soy sauce as well as the excess marinade from the chicken.  i added steamed broccoli and zucchini as well as the chopped chicken in about a tablespoon of olive oil in the center); mix (4ish/18pts)

yummy sammy 4, champagne 4, nathan’s bacon cheese fries 1200cal, mermizzles, beers 6, toast w/ avocado & hummus 2 , bread w/ olive oil 6, cavatelli w/ radicchio, proscuitto, cream, wine 4, nothing (didnt order)  so basically 26 plus cheese fries and pasta. gross. BUT you know, it’s what i wanted and i’m ok with it.

 sammy w/ 4w toast 1, avocado 1, hummus 1, tuna 1 (olives, onions, cucumbers), cucumbers, red onion = 4

i need to drink waterrrr

i think this is a record for consecutive posts – d

so i had my sammy at like 1, i was going to the trainer at 2. it was the same as before BUT when i opened my sprouts today they had already gone bad, i was so sad. i bought them two nights ago.  so, this minus sprouts.  like 4 pts. then i went to the trainer and almost threw up most likely bc i had to start my antibiotics again (boo). and then just now (3:30) i had my string cheese, so 2pts making 14.  kinda nauseous but kinda hungry still.

im dedicating all my posts to caitlin, the only other person reading this blog – d

last night i decided to go out and the little tuna packet held me over pretty well.  i had a bunch of miller lights (something new for me) at moda, the place ive gone to for lunch the past two days, because apparently i love that place.  actually there was a bbdo going away party for 2 peeps and moda has a whole outdoor part.  after moda my friend james was hungry. we were supposed to go downtown to another party but he was determined to either eat or go home.  so,  we hit up the happy hour menu (also then served late night) at mccormick and schmicks – um, unreal.  half pound burger and fries for $1.95.  lemme see if i can find the menu online.  http://www.mccormickandschmicks.com/media/Bar_Menu.pdf

and thats not even all of it!  the burger was so good and i had a JOTR with it.

this morning i was hungover but im going to the trainer at 2 so i couldnt eat badly.  at home, while making me awesome sammy for later, i toasted two pieces of wwww bread (weight watchers whole wheat) and put about a tablespoon of lemon hummus on top (seriously, its da bomb) with tomato slices and a little sprinkle of feta.  how am i gonna find a pic of this.

 pretend the avocado is hummus. its funny bc i almost went avocado instead.  this was at like 8:30.

then at like 10:30 here at work there was ROUND NUMBER 2 of free bagel friday. i was hungry already because that bfast is like 2pts so i took a rye bagel, scooped it out (so like 4pts) and used 1 tbsp ff cc on top (so say 6pts for a total of 8 so far). now im full still, its 11:30.  im not sure what to do about my sammy, maybe i’ll eat like half before trainer time and half after.

i think i counted wrong, not that im talking to anyone but myself. tear.

so after my bfast and sammy i think i was only at like 4pts. string cheese makes 6, 5 olives are 1pt (and i only had 3), i added another pt for the bite of bread/cheese so thats 8. then minestrone soup is like 3, so thats 11 and its 430 wahoo. so, now im eating this awesome snack. its an individual serving of bumble bee pre-made fat free tuna sally that comes w/ 6 whole wheat crackers. its only 3pts and its soooooo yummy and healthy was only 1.69 at the store (i bought a few). i love run on sentences.

As I was eating my string cheese kopech and this other ipsher came back from a mtg and were going to lunch. As you know I was hungo still so I was like I’ll come. They went to the same place I went yesterday (moda) so I again had like 3 olives, a tiny piece of bread and a tiny square of parm ch. Then I just got minestrone. I’m full now but happy that I’m at least full w/ all really healthy food. The end.

yummoest sammyyy – d

basically i bought the ingredients for the sammy i had the other day (that marty probs hasnt even SEEN yet) and im going to rock it for lunch for a while.  wheat bread, hummus, avocado, cucmbers, red onion, sprouts, tomato. i think it was exactly that.  needless to say, its awesome. i ate half at like 11 and half again now.  im realizing its only like 4pts for the whole sammy (bc i got weight watchers whole wheat bread thats 1pt/TWO slices) and im still hungo.  ive had like 6pts today. im gonna rock my string cheese (2 more).
